My 10y wedding anniversary is next week. Does anyone have any novel yet not too expensive gift suggestions?
The traditional 10 year wedding gift is tin or aluminum. The modern alternative is diamonds. If you can afford it, something that would really blow her away is a surprise romantic weekend getaway, with everything planned (find somewhere for the kids to stay, ask her boss for the time off if she works that day, know where you are going to dinner or cook for her, and maybe even buy her a nice dress to wear to dinner). If you are strapped for cash and you have some skill, cook her a beautiful dinner. If nothing else, go to Kay, give the lovely ladies there your budget, and ask them to pick something out. OR get a catalog from Kay and give it to your wife, telling her to circle what she likes. My fiance did that for valentines day and I ended up with a necklace I love and really wanted! You could also find your wedding photo and a recent one of the two of you together, get a frame with room for two pictures. You can give her a ‘then and now’ sort of thing, she will love it. Good luck!
It is your aluminum anniversary… Here is a good guide: http://www.justpaperroses.com/10-Year-An… You don’t have to spend a great deal of money on her, either. Don’t let your anniversaries get sucked down by all this overcommercialism and materialism. Do something thoughtful and romantic. It will be treasured and remembered much more than something stupid and expensive.
