No. Part numbers are ideal if they marked on the vehicle, otherwise photographs are sufficient. 29/00 US vehicles sold in Japan Q63. Should US designed vehicles (eg Chevrolet Corvette) sold in to Japan be certified with the evidence type “Japanese origin” or “US origin”. “Japanese origin” (where relevant) as this is where the vehicles were first registered, despite the design originating in the US.
