Must the GroupWise Windows Client be running when I perform a synchronisation?

Yes. If you are using the LinkWise 16-bit version with a standard GroupWise 4.1a installation, LinkWise will automatically start the GroupWise client if it is not already running. The 16-bit version of LinkWise will work with GroupWise Remote but it cannot start the GroupWise client in remote mode. Always start GroupWise Remote prior to initiating a LinkWise reconciliation. In the LinkWise 32-bit version, LinkWise attempts to start GroupWise 5.x and will warn you if GroupWise cannot be started.
