Must international students submit TOEFL scores as part of the Ross BBA application? If so, what TOEFL scores are acceptable for admission?
While the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (OUA) at the University of Michigan requires the TOEFL test for admission to other campus programs, the Ross School of Business does not require that a TOEFL score be submitted as part of the BBA application. All international students are required to complete at least one year of undergraduate study at an accredited U.S. university before applying to the Ross BBA program. It is therefore expected that international student applicants are fluent in English and have the communication skills required for the Ross BBA Program. OUA provides information on the minimum TOEFL scores it will accept on its English Proficiency Requirements webpage. Again, while the Ross School of Business does not require that you submit TOEFL scores for BBA admissions consideration, you may find it helpful to review OUA’s TOEFL requirements to determine the level of English proficiency that is expected of all University of Michigan students.
