Must all required members of the CPSE be present to determine whether a child who is in the EIP and who is turning 3 is eligible for preschool special education programs and services?
Yes. In order for the eligibility determination to be valid, all required members of the CPSE must participate in the CPSE meeting where eligibility is determined and the IEP is developed. Please refer to pages 15 – 17 of this document for detailed requirements for the CPSE evaluation, eligibility, and IEP process.
