Must all digital and online learning options comply with the ALE rules?

0

Remember that the ALE rules apply only to learning that occurs away from school and that will be claimed for basic education apportionment. Therefore, digital or online courses or programs that are offered as part of a regular classroom program and that do not include an away-from-school component that will be included in the calculations for a particular student’s state basic education funding FTE are not subject to the ALE rules. Further, digital or online courses that a student takes while away from school but that are not included as part of the student’s basic education funding FTE are not subject to the ALE rules.
