Munchkin cat owners…should i get one??
There’s a lot of genetic problems with them yet. I’ve seen them, the legs are very short and the cat can’t jump up on anything, but they can corner really well like little race cars. But the health problems are still a concern for the breed. Read up on them some more and talk with a few owners before you make a decision.
Munchkins shouldn’t be significantly more expensive than other breeds of cat. They are very affectionate and loving cats and very healthy and robust with no breed specific health problems. They are quite active and athletic and like to jump and climb so don’t get one if you want a couch potato cat, but do get one if you want a fun and active cat that will be long lived. If you do get one do buy from a reputable breeder.
