MSN Messenger’s voice & video functions will not work due to the larger number of open incoming ports it requires (by large we mean 98.4% of the 65536 available ports!). We are not trying to stop the use of MSN, it’s just very poorly designed to work behind a firewall. There is no way MSN Messenger can be used for these functions on ResNet. However, alternative programs Yahoo Messenger and Skype are also free and have been tested and found fully functional for messaging, video, and audio.
