Your system needs the most recent drivers and software. Download and install the latest version from the updates page then run the hardware tune-up utility. If the source is a NTSC source , “Drop frame mode” must be checked in the “Advanced MPEG Properties” page to avoid a lip sync loss. If you are using VCR bad tape, you must set the MPEGProfiler accordingly to this poor quality source by checking “VCR Syncro” in the “Video Source Selection” tab and by unchecking “Lock to VSync” in the “Audio Properties” tab. Usually this last option must be unchecked ONLY in case of worn video tapes and when the video synch are altered. Audio capture will thus no longer be driven by video synch which is typically altered on bad sources. This will prevent possible audio gaps in the captured streams therefore avoiding major lipsynch loss. If the video sync signal are low on these sources then this should solve this problem.
