Moving on to the sound, what was it is that attracted you to Max Eastleys work?

Well I didn’t want to work to instrumental music. Because we were in the spaces I was interested right from the beginning in having sound coming from various sources and so then I started to listen to sound/music whatever (there’s various terminology you can use) and Max has always struck me because it always actually does sound different from anybody else’s and I think that is partly because he is an artist with sculpture, probably first in one way, and the sounds have evolved from how his sculpture works and his sculpture moves and so he has a direct relationship with the idea of a moving part making sound whereas my moving parts are dancers making a visual image.
