Most theorists listed in the Study Guide are from the UK or USA. Isn this rather UK/USAcentric?
The syllabus covers relatively few theories/models. Those selected are well’known and easily comprehended. The idea is that students should understand how theories/models help people to think about issues. Inclusion of a theory/model does not necessarily mean that it is regarded as being the best in its area or well’validated, just that it is representative of a way of thinking about and discussing an important issue.
