Most of us know what piercing is but definitions aside, what is body scarification?
F: Scarification is designs put into the flesh with a scalpel. I cut designs for people into the skin, and give them aftercare on how to take care of it so that it will scar properly and give them the result that they are looking for. The process is a lot like a tattoo, clean the area, stencil them, let it dry, then outline it to make sure all my lines are there, and then widen the lines to the proper depths and widths. Most of my clients tell me it’s about as painful as the outline of a tattoo. The clients I’ve had that have gotten it done, have given me several reasons on why they want it, such as : its natural (since there’s no foreign inks or jewelry being put into the skin), it’s something different from the norm, some people like how it looks over tattoos, shock value, all sorts of reasons.
