The availability of job openings depends on the employment and staffing needs of the social service agency at the point in time. While it is true that some job openings specifically states that prior work experience is necessary, the fact that many fresh social work graduates manage to find a social work job within a short span of time goes to show that social service agencies in general are supportive and do consider fresh social work graduates for job openings.
