Most computers these days have wireless cards installed. Is the Cal campus covered by a wireless network?
A large portion of the campus, including most lecture halls, libraries, and studying/meeting locations are covered by the UC Berkeley’s AirBears wireless network. This network provides free internet access to all students, faculty and staff in covered areas; simply log on with your CalNet ID and password. Guests can be issued temporary access as well. Consult the AirBears website for more information at http://airbears.berkeley.
