Mosquito nets are useful overnight but what about evenings after dusk and before the time people go to bed?
Insecticide-treated mosquito nets have proven to be highly effective and one of the best practical interventions to control malaria. Large-scale use of mosquito nets reduce the capacity of mosquitos to spread malaria. Different mosquito species do have different peak biting times which has an impact on the effectiveness of mosquito nets. But on a population-wide basis, continuous high mosquito-net use does significantly reduce the incidence of malaria, and associated illness.
