Moscow, ID: Why wasn the AFSEEE alternative analyzed?
The EIS team determined that, taken in its entirety, the alternative presented by the Association of Forest Service Employees for Environmental Ethics (AFSEEE) did not fully address the purpose of and need for action. Specifically, it did not meet the need to support the economic and/or social needs of people, cultures, and communities, and to support predictable and sustainable levels of goods and services from National Forest System and BLM-administered lands. Further, the proposed alternative was not based on the Science Integration Team’s Scientific Assessment. Although the AFSEEE alternative was not described in its entirety as a separate alternative and was not analyzed in detail, several of its elements were incorporated into Alternative 7.
