Monty Python! How would you describe their type of humour?
Monty Python’s humour is surrealist. They do sketches that are suddenly interrupted by hordes of Vikings shouting “SPAM”, and jokes about transvestite lumberjacks, and of course, people trying to sell dead parrots. They took the surrealist style of comedy pioneered by the Goon Show to an entirely new level. I love ’em all, can’t choose a favourite, they each brought a unique kind of wit to the chemistry of the shows and movies. “BURMA!” “Why did you just say Burma?…” “…I panicked…
