Just be happy he’s young and he/she has some time to reduce the scarring in the future. I have a scar above my left eye and I was really worried about it because it was so noticeable. You can still notice it, but its not nearly as bad. I used a gel called Mederma. You can find it at any drug/grocery store. Its reasonably priced too. You put it on 3-4 times a day for about 2-3 months for new scars and 4-6 months for existing ones. It definitely has helped making it not as noticeable. Hope this helps.

get some vitamin e oil and put on it. (if you really want to spend money on scarring medicine, use maderma. you can get it at any drug store.

I reccomend using neosporing to minimize the scarring, i know it is a common brand and all but it works really well for helping the healing process. Also, once the stitches are gone try massaging the area very gently in order to get bloodflow to the area to repair the damaged tissue. Just be grateful he is ok and didn’t lose an eye, or have to get 57 stitches to hold his face on like my husband did when he was 18 months old.
