Moms and pregnant moms: Gestational Diabetes and pregnancy?

0

I was just told I have Gestational Diabetes….I see the nurse on Monday but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and what happened during your pregnancy and after? Does it go away? I’m 31 weeks along. I know I can read up on it but I’d rather have personal experiences. Thank you. A: I had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy. And frankly, aside from having to watch what you eat, it’s not that big of a deal. Just listen to what your doctor tells you and follow his orders so that way, your baby will be safe. And I do believe they go away after you have your baby. Mine did. However, I think it makes the risk of developing diabetes later on higher.
