Mohammed was the same sly Avatar who appeared as Jesus, hard at work as usual creatively leading man forward into spiritual greatness. Mohammed in the Koran hints that if it had not been so dangerous, He might have revealed that He was not a man, but an Angel. He lightheartedly chided Jesus for stating that He was the Son of God, while at the same time simply refraining from making a similar announcement about Himself. He did not directly state that Jesus was not who He claimed to be! (I should add the proviso that I am not very familiar with the Koran, and have no Islamic friends to help me. If Mohammed did state that Jesus was not the Son of God, it was in keeping with His line, as Mohammed, that such things were not possible.) It takes a broad, open mind to see this, something that seems to be wholly lacking in the modern age.
