Mirena and Spotting… How Long Does This Last?
I’ve had my Mirena in for 1 month, and have been spotting non-stop for a month now. There was one week that it was more than spotting, which I decided was my actual period. Now I’m back to light spotting. I have heard many great things about the Mirena, no periods, no weight gain, and so many seem to speak so highly of it so I don’t want to get discouraged. Just wondering what others have experienced this and how long you spotted before it quit. My husband is already saying to take it out. Prior to the Mirena, my periods were lasting 2 weeks, spotting for 5 then bleeding for 5 then spotting for a few more days after that. My husband had a vasectomy so I am using the Mirena purely for period control.
