JULIA GILLARD: The Prime Minister, the Treasurer and I have all made it very clear that we have already acted to support Australian jobs through the measures taken by the Government to date and that we stand ready to continue to act in 2009 to invest in Australian jobs. We want to make sure that Australians are working. We want to make sure that there are opportunities for Australians to get jobs. That is absolutely at the forefront of what we have done and what we will continue to do as we respond to the global financial crisis and its impact on this nation. And we stand ready to do more should international circumstances continue to deteriorate. JOURNALIST: So does that mean the Government is considering tax cuts?
