you are right; however if enduser “is comfortable working with CVS or doesn’t mind learning” she will get stuff from CVS. So, my point is that there is additional step between getting stuff from CVS and running install – even if the end user doesn’t plan to modify the code! And the instruction for this step are missing in FAQs; and since it’s PHP, and there is no compile neccessary – it is easy to assume that you can run install on the code that you downloaded. And, besides, I think that the the line between developers and endusers that download alpha version of software from CVS is blurred, anyway 😀 And another “besides” – I didn’t see such instructions in developer docs, either.
