If only 70% of the longtime members attend and pay $20, that is the same as if 100% attend and pay $14 dollars. $14 is 70% of $20. So if 100% of 500 attended and paid $14 each, that is 500 X $14 = $7000 was collected. No need to know the exact ratio. At first I thought the date was significant, but it was not. Those Mensa folks can be pretty tricky. I hope this helps.
