Member profiles give an idle time if that member is currently online. What does this number represent?
When you login to newschoolers as a member your account is set to “online”, meaning you are actively using your account at that time. An account is considered “online” until there has been no activity for 30 minutes upon which your are automatically logged out. Every page you load within Newschoolers will set your account’s idle time to zero. Every minute that passes without a page load will add a minute to your idle time. Example: When you login to Newschoolers your account is immediately set “online” with an idle time of zero minutes. You then click on the “Forums” link and make a post; your idle time is still zero. You then leave your computer for 5 minutes while you go get a drink. For every minute you do not load a page your idle time will increase by 1. When you return, your idle time will be at 5 minutes.
