MEDICAL, VACCINATION, AND AGE REQUIREMENTS What are the medical and vaccination boarding requirements for adult dogs 1 year and older?
A wellness exam by a veterinarian is required within 1 year prior to boarding. One of the following is required for boarding: (1) Year round monthly heartworm preventative and a negative fecal check within 1 year prior to boarding, or (2) if not taking year round monthly heartworm preventative, a negative fecal check within 6 months prior to boarding, or (3) deworming by a veterinarian followed by a negative fecal check within 6 months prior to boarding. If your dog was found to have worms at his last fecal exam, he must have completed all prescribed medication and must be RETESTED and NEGATIVE before he can board. Your dog must have no fleas or ticks. Frontline Plus should be applied at least 48 hours prior to boarding to remove any fleas and ticks already on your dog and to protect your dog from picking up fleas and ticks.
