I actually agree with Ingrid. I think the statement “The media only impacts children negatively” (pardon me for correcting your grammar) is rather biased, because the media can do a lot of good things when used the right way. However, I do not deny the devastating impacts it sadly has on our children when used irresponsibly (which unfortunately accounts for the majority of cases). Having said that, my three additional supporting arguments to your statement would be: 1) parents losing their authority over children to the media, 2) children could easily fall for the media as a substitute for real human relationships, and 3) a lot of things can be fabricated, manipulated, or slanted through the media to appear a certain way, and thus confuse our children’s understanding of right and wrong. I see a Singaporean flag on your question, so I assume that’s where you’re living. I live just a little down south in Jakarta. In many families here, both parents work and delegate childcare responsibil
