May students with F-1 visas participate in the Non-Degree program?

0

Federal regulations mandate that international students be matriculated in a program of study that leads to a degree. As such, nonmatriculated (NM) status is not available to persons holding an F-1 student visa unless they are already in possession of a current, valid I-20 from another school and will be taking classes at the UW while maintaining their F-1 status at that school. The University of Washington is unable to issue the SEVIS I-20 for F-1-students. Additionally, federal regulations prohibit F-2 and B-1/B-2 visa holders from engaging in full-time study in the U.S.
