Yes, if the prior polysomnography study was performed in a facility-based sleep study laboratory, and if the results of the study qualify the beneficiary under the revised coverage criteria for CPAP. If both of these conditions are met, coverage for CPAP will begin for dates of service April 1, 2002 and after, regardless of whether the same study qualified the beneficiary under the old coverage criteria or not. There is no time limit for the polysomnography study.
