May independent study courses be taken for graduate credit?
The LSU Graduate School does not allow graduate credit for work done by independent study at LSU or at any other university; however, other institutions may accept independent courses for graduate credit. You are responsible for determining whether your degree-granting institution will accept LSU correspondence study work for credit. LSU Shreveport offers courses for graduate credit in Human Services Administration through LSU IDL. For more information, click here.
