May a camper stay with a family member or family friend instead of a CRS host family?

Yes, but only with a written permission signed by a parent or a guardian stating the Louis August Jonas Foundation bears no responsibility for the child during the stay with the family member or family friend. Forms are available upon request. How will my child get to and from his/her CRS location? There are two possibilities: campers may travel on their own or with family members directly to their Program location on the first day of the season. Alternatively, campers may arrange their travel and arrive in the New York area where, on the first day of the summer season, LAJF will provide bus transportation from a central location in New York City to the Program locations at Clinton and Red Hook. If parents choose to drop off or pick up a camper directly at the Program location, they notify LAJF in advance and, on opening day, arrive between 12:00 noon and 1:00 PM; on closing day pick-up is from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
