May a BJU student take summer school at a school near home? If so, how can I be sure summer school courses will transfer?
A student may take summer school work at home and be assured that BJU will accept the credits in transfer if the student gets prior approval for the course work from BJU’s registrar. The student should complete a Permission for Transfer Work Request form at the Records Office. The form will be returned to the student with approval or disapproval indicated. This form is often sufficient to admit the student to the school at home without having to go through normal admissions procedures. Upon completion of the summer course, the student should request that an official transcript be sent directly to BJU so that the course(s) can be posted on his BJU record.
