Maximum Overkill, what is it?
Maximum Overkill of late 2004 to 2006 – Max Over for short, is a LAN party. LAN being short for Local Area Network. A LAN allows you to play games without the latency you receive from WAN. Usually people bring their own computer to play computer games or just come and play console games, table games, or card games. There is usually an entrance fee. Cost of the fee varies from year to year. LAN parties also allows you to converse with other people with similar interest to learn more about computing in general, how to build your own computer, local computing events, and many other things. Any spectator is allowed in for free as long as they do not cause a disturbance. See Max Over About page for more information.
