Bob, I’ve read so many of your articles/faq’s, but have not been able to find one with this issue: so here goes. My maroon has a small whitish growth protruding from the base of his belly – just in front of the middle stripe. He’s been around for a long long time and always been somewhat quirky. Last few months (probably since a couple water changes ago when i rearranged the decor) he’s been hanging at the top water line – usually vertical, and swims sideways. Does not seem in distress and eats ok for him. Accept for the this little growth his body is clean. 30 gal fish tank, only other fish 6-line wrasse. 1019-20, 76 degrees Any guesses???
