Marcon’s Weapons Policy?
We understand that a nifty looking blaster or a really keen blade can make an outfit or costume look incredibly sharp. However, in light of various security and liability concerns, Marcon has the following weapons policy. Note: All weapons are to be peace bonded before they leave your room! Do not swing weapons about or point them at other people. If you cannot follow these policy, you will be asked to leave the weapon in your room. If that does not work, we will expect to hold onto your weapon for you if you wish to continue attending the convention. The carrying of actual firearms as props is strictly forbidden. Also, no laser tag or toy shooter type games are allowed in the hallways, programming areas, or hotel areas. If you are caught “blasting away,” your weapon will be confiscated until the end of the convention. A second infraction of this rule will result in your membership being revoked.
