Personally, I think they’d be fools not to hire him, given his track record in the Big 12–honestly, I think ISU would be getting an upgrade from McDermott, who was a good mid-major coach but couldn’t translate it to the Big 12… Of course, given the way ISU and Eustachy parted ways, the Cyclone administration might be nervous about bringing in another “party coach”, even if Gillespie has appeared to change his ways.
