Mar 13, 2003: I live near a blipmap regional edge – would it be possible to make the blipmap regions larger, with more overlap, so that I would not have to look at two different regions?
DrJack sez: At this point I am pretty much locked into the existing grids in a number of ways. The processing must done separately for each region (doing the entire US all at once would require more memory than is available) and the amount of processing goes up rapidly with increasing size – for example just a 10% in each grid size would increase the required processing by 20%, all of which would be merely duplicated processing. Right now all I can suggest is to put two browser windows side-by-side and view one region in each. March 1, 2004 Addition: You can also utilize the programs described in the alternative BLIP data display programs since they can allow the user to display an arbitrary region.
