Many fogger products say nothing on their labels about being flammable. How is this product different?
The regulation that governs the “Flammable” warning on aerosol products is deceptive in its wording. It is based on flame extension, which is a measurement of the length of the flame produced when the spray is passed over a candle that is 6″ from the button. Products that have flames of less than 18″ do not have to be labeled as flammable! So you could have a product that produces a 17″ flame when is contacts an ignition source, but not have to label it as flammable. Also, these products have a flammable propellant that can collect in an enclosed space and form an explosive gas mixture with as little as 2% content of the aerosol gases! Even the water-based foggers contain flammable propellants. Bengal Non-flammable Dry Fogger is the only totally non-flammable bug fogger on the market, which provides an additional margin of safety when released into your home, storage room or areas where pilot lights or other ignitions sources may be present.
