Many companies offer FREE websites as incentive for hosting. Could we save money going that route?
In the short-term, yes, it is the cheapest way to get on the Internet, but by NO means suitable for a Company. What they offer are a few template-based pages that cannot be customised enough to portray your Company and brand on the Internet. It is mostly for ‘Personal/Home’ websites. For a Company that is serious about making money and having a successful website, we would very strongly advise against going this route and also remember that what is offered are mostly static pages riddled with ads that you have no control over as the ISP must somehow recoup his money from somewhere.
