Mado, what overarching piece of advice would you give to aspiring MBAs regarding financial aid and budgeting for an MBA degree?
To keep a clean credit record: pay your other bills on time. In fact, ask for a credit report before you ever ask for an application for admission. Do that just to make sure — you might be surprised by what appears on your credit report. Maybe it’s erroneous, but you should be aware of it. Also try to save as much as possible from your three, four, five years or more of work. You should not have credit-card debt other than what you can pay in a month. And lastly, you should realize that an MBA education is a more important investment than investing in a fancy car or a beautiful house.
