Why are my kids being so rebellious? I am writing a YA memoir about a girl who is dead she has to go through a list of memories and write about them. This is the first memory she is writing about. Read it and tell me what you think. Critique/feedback is greatly appreciated. Just tell me what you think, thanks. MEMORY #1 To Mom I understand loneliness now. It’s a vague feeling of emptiness and loss. I get it. It’s like a faucet dripping continuously; it makes you feel hollow. The feeling is almost scarier than it is sad. I couldn’t figure out what it was at first, this feeling. But then your words came to me. “It’s a mixture of feeling helpless, scared and lost all at the same time. If you feel this than you will know you’ve felt complete loneliness.” That’s what you said mom. As you said this I wondered how you knew, I was little then mom, young and innocent still. My mind wasn’t fully functioning yet. Now it is though, now I know why you said this. It was your call for help, wasn’t it
