I noticed the same thing when I switched from PC to Mac. I was really annoyed with how the Mac’s mouse moved as compared to Windows. I searched online and found that it’s because of mouse acceleration, a setting which cannot be changed via the usual Mouse & Keyboard Preferences. Here’s a website that explains the issue (link).
