M™ DI-NOC™ has a matt finish that looks like dry carbon fibre, is there any way to give it a glossy clear coat?
Some customers have asked if 3M™ make a gloss carbon fibre vinyl or if there is a way to make the matt carbon glossy. Since 3M™ don’t offer a gloss version there are two options – applying a gloss spray clear coat or wrap the carbon vinyl with a clear vinyl such as that used to prevent stone chips. Although this sounds like a plan the reality is that the clear coat and clear vinyl will take on the texture of the carbon fibre vinyl underneath making it very difficult, if not impossible to achieve the look that you are trying to achieve.
