Losing the security lock Question: How can one lose the security lock?
The security lock (called Garment Designer Lock) is placed in your Windows System folder (Windows) or the Extensions folder (Mac). You can always check to see that it is there. The only thing that should cause you to lose your lock is reformating a hard drive. If you know you need to do this, uninstall the security code first (see the Install manual), then perform your reformatting. Copying the file to a new location (on a different device/drive) and moving it back will not work, as the security process knows when a file has been moved off the drive. You may move the lock elsewhere on the same drive, and move it back to its intended location, but you cannot copy it to a different device/drive. If you do crash you system, you will need to contact Cochenille and perform a telephone unlock.
