I would have learned about the warning signs of PP illness and gotten help earlier the first time around. The second time, I feel I did everything really well and boy, did it make a huge difference in the amount of time I suffered and the severity of the suffering was significantly less! Obviously I wish that I had known more about postpartum mood disorders, but frankly I just thought PPD meant you cry all the time and it is really hard to diagnose in one’s self.
