Longrange battles with Mage powers?
For a long time using a Sword or a powerful Bow is the most efficient way to mow down foes, but once you have about 250+ Ancient Knowledge your spells turn into interesting weapons. If you then get the Mana Regeneration perk in Barakesh and also learn the Lightning Bold perk you have a very efficient longrange weapon, with practically limitless ammo. I.e. Wolves or Ripperbeasts go down with one shot (on easy difficulty level). Tip: Attacking a herd of animals, like Wolves or Bisons is generally not a good idea, because the sheer number of beasts will probably overrun you. But with the above spell, you can strike down one animal at a time, since the quick death does not leave the animal enough time to alert the rest of the herd!
