Local mayor caught cross dressing in womens underwear faces voters: did he keep his job?
By now, everyone is familiar with the photos that supposedly show East Cleveland Eric Brewer dressed in womens’ underwear. For Brewer, the scandal could not have come at a worse time: less than one week before an election. While nothing Brewer did was illegal (and he never admitted or denied that the pictures they were of him), they undoubtedly hurt his image. So did Brewer keep his job? East Clevelanders went to the polls yesterday in a mayoral election that pitted incumbent Brewer against rival Gary Norton, current president of city council.
