LiveZilla shows more visitors on my website than my “Online Script”. Why?
Most online scripts will only show you “active users”. In case a visitor of your website stopped browsing from page to page he will be kicked from the list after a certain time. LiveZilla is able to also show you these visitors (which are inactive but still on your website!). Some people are browsing your website from a computer which runs 24/7 (e.g. a server) and don’t close the browser when they leave the computer. You will see these visitors until they close the browser or leave your website. In some cases these people can be “online” for weeks. In case you don’t want to see inactive users please activate the option “Hide visitors” which can be found in the server configuration form. But there’s another major difference between LiveZilla and other statistic tools. Most companies (and even private homes) are using a router which is used as gateway to the internet and all computers behind this router are sharing the same IP. While common statistic tools are working based on visitor IP
