As a little girl growing up in the 1970’s, I fell in love with the Ingalls Family. I wanted to live in a little house in the middle of a wildflower meadow, sleep in a cozy loft with Laura and Mary, and wake up to hugs and kisses from Ma and Pa. I didn’t care if I had to clean out the barn, walk ten miles to school or battle with mean ole’ Nellie Oleson, I knew I was meant to live near Walnut Grove in That Little House On The Prairie. The warmth, devotion and caring in that home was hard to come by in my real life. I lived vicariously through this program during the years it was on. The characters were my friends, and I grew up side by side with Laura and Albert. I have read that Michael Landon was a brilliant actor, director and producer. It is so obvious to me now that he put his heart and soul into every episode of Little House in order for the show to come alive as it did.
