Like a well-designed watch made by a watchmaker, doesn the fact that nature is so well-designed mean it had to be made by a grand designer?
By that reasoning, we could boomerang a question back and ask, “Who then made this grand designer?” A more powerful response is found on the website of Atheist Community of Austin, where they state “Christian arguments attempting to infer a god’s existence by the alleged evidences of intelligent design in nature are flawed” because they “commit the fallacy of first presupposing design in order to prove a designer, putting the cart before the horse.” In order for this to be a convincing argument, they say, Christians must first demonstrate that it is impossible to explain nature in any other way. This however, can not be done because evolution already satisfactorily explains natureand has the scientific evidence to back it up.
